Upper Cumberland Development District
At the Upper Cumberland Development District, we are passionate about helping people. Through our wide array of services, we connect individuals, families, businesses, and local officials with resources they need to improve their quality of life.
From grant writing to Medicare assistance, we are here for you.
Area Agency on Aging and Disability
The Area Agency on Aging and Disability (AAAD) functions as the district’s focal point and advocate for older adults and adults with disabilities in the Upper Cumberland. Programs and services we offer help enhance the quality of life for individuals and connect them to helpful resources:
Economic Development
We help individuals across the region start and expand businesses through business loans (via Cumberland Area Investment Corporation). From farm equipment to construction loans, we connect businesses to the assets they need to succeed.
The Small Business Development Center at UCDD provides existing business assistance including, but not limited to: business growth planning, government contracting guidance, international trade guidance, sources of capital, & social media strategy guidance.
Planning & Community Development
UCDD is committed to promoting economic growth within the region by offering Planning and Community Development services to assist residents, businesses, and local government.
Housing & Family Services
Through our Housing and Family Services programs we offer safe and affordable housing for adults age 62 years of age or older and adults with disabilities as well as services to help adults who are raising relative children.
