Area Agency on Aging and Disability

The Area Agency on Aging and Disability (AAAD) functions as the district’s focal point and advocate for older adults and adults with disabilities in the Upper Cumberland.  Programs and services we offer help enhance the quality of life for individuals and connect them to helpful resources:

Economic Development

We help individuals across the region start and expand businesses through business loans (via Cumberland Area Investment Corporation). From farm equipment to construction loans, we connect businesses to the assets they need to succeed.

The Small Business Development Center at UCDD provides existing business assistance including, but not limited to: business growth planning, government contracting guidance, international trade guidance, sources of capital, & social media strategy guidance.

Planning & Community Development

UCDD is committed to promoting economic growth within the region by offering Planning and Community Development services to assist residents, businesses, and local government.

Housing & Family Services

Through our Housing and Family Services programs we offer safe and affordable housing for adults age 62 years of age or older and adults with disabilities as well as services to help adults who are raising relative children.
