On Tuesday, March 18, UCDD joined early childhood education advocates in Nashville for Day on the Hill, focusing on the importance of childcare and the Upper Cumberland Bright Start Plan in partnership with Tennesseans for Quality Early Education (TQEE).
Our team, along with childcare providers, Tennessee Tech University’s Early Childhood Education representatives, and other key partners, engaged with legislators to highlight the urgent need for quality childcare solutions in the Upper Cumberland. The discussions emphasized how investing in early education strengthens families, supports workforce development, and builds a brighter future for our region.
Through collaborative efforts like the Bright Start Plan, UCDD remains committed to advancing early childhood initiatives and ensuring every child has access to the resources they need to thrive.
