Upper Cumberland Development District has an opening for a Tourism Recovery Coordinator. The Tourism Recovery Coordinator will assist local government, chambers of commerce, and businesses.
Duties include:
- Assist local governments and chambers of commerce with promoting tourism
- Conduct an audit of tourism assets in the region
- Aid with tourism marketing and brand awareness
- Serve as regional point of contact for tourism outreach
- Assist chambers of commerce in all aspects of economic recovery
- Aid in grant administration
- Work to gather tourism-related content to help area Chambers of Commerce
- Other duties assigned by the Executive Director or Department Director
Qualifications:
- Possess good oral and written communication skills with basic knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and number style.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal directions.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
- Experience working with state/federal government programs.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with the tourism industry in the Upper Cumberland
The successful applicant will possess a bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field (relevant work-related experience may be considered).
