As planning for the Senior & Caregiver Expo comes to fruition, the red carpet has just rolled out for three new community partners to take the stage beside other platinum sponsors. These corporate sponsors will help to bring this year’s theme of “A Day at the Show” to life with interactive activities and exciting booths for attendees. The 18th Annual Upper Cumberland Senior and Caregiver Expo is scheduled for Tuesday, October 22, 2019, from 8:30am to 1:00pm at Life Church in Cookeville, Tenn.

The first of these new sponsors is Eye Centers of Tennessee, located at 768A S. Willow Ave. in Cookeville. Following the mantra, “seeing is believing,” this service provider offers ophthalmic care to local families across Tennessee through their seven different locations.

The expo also welcomes the TN Department of Commerce & Insurance as a platinum sponsor. This agency is dedicated to serving Tennesseans through community, safety, and service by providing professional licensing, regulating safety measures, and protecting consumers against investment fraud.

And lastly the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee’s mission is to advance, defend, and enforce the legal rights of low-income and vulnerable people in order to secure for them the basic necessities of life. They are Tennessee’s largest nonprofit law firm that takes a comprehensive approach to providing high quality, free, civil legal services and community education for people to protect their livelihoods, their health, and their families. We are so excited to have them at the Expo this year.

Organized by the Upper Cumberland Area Agency on Aging and Disability, a division of the Upper Cumberland Development District, the Senior Expo brings together businesses, service providers, seniors and caregivers in a one-day networking event. Participants have the opportunity to gather resources from vendors, health screenings, receive door prizes, and participate in hands-on educational activities, and free lunch provided by Platinum Sponsor, Quality of Families.

In conjunction with the Expo, there will also be the opportunity for a Caregiver training from 9am to 12 pm. Please contact Clare Farless at 931-476-4143 or cfarless@ucdd.org for more information and to sign up.

Additional Senior Expo platinum sponsors include Blue Coast Burrito, Life Care Center , Home Caregivers, Home Instead, Putnam Sheriff Department, Saint Thomas Hospital, NHC HealthCare, Cookeville Regional Medical Center, Tennessee Tech University Caregiving Center, Heritage Pointe, Quality Home Health, StoneCom, Grace Givers Home Care, Joyce Healthcare, Putnam County Emergency Management Services (911), WCTE, and Alzheimer’s Tennessee.
