The Upper Cumberland Development District/Area Agency on Aging and Disability (AAAD) has an opening for an Information and Assistance (I&A) Specialist. The I&A Specialist will determine the supportive needs of family caregivers, individuals with a disability, and older adults; conduct comprehensive phone screenings for individuals applying for Home and Community-Based Services; and provide clients with resource information and/or refer them to other services that can help meet their needs. The I&A Specialist would be required to obtain Inform USA Certification within the designated time frame which is based upon education and experience.
Requirements include:
- Prefer a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and three years of employment in a related field; an Associate/Community College degree and 2 years of employment in a related field; or a Bachelor’s Degree or higher and one year of employment in a related field.
- Proficient computer skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team
