Industrial Development

There is a primary focus on securing grant funding to support manufacturing growth, infrastructure expansion, and job creation across the 14-county region. We collaborate with local governments, economic development organizations, and regional stakeholders to identify and pursue funding opportunities from sources such as the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (ECD), Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC), and Economic Development Administration (EDA).

Our responsibilities include

• Conducting research
• Preparing grant proposals
• Facilitating industrial site development
• Enhancing utility infrastructure.

Once funding is secured, we oversee grant administration, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating project implementation to maximize economic impact. Additionally, we assist local leaders in developing long-term strategies to address critical challenges such as workforce retention, site readiness, and infrastructure capacity.

By leveraging complex funding mechanisms and aligning industrial development projects with regional needs, we help strengthen the economic foundation of the Upper Cumberland and enhance its ability to attract and sustain industry.
