Upper Cumberland Development District has an opening for Financial Assistant. The Financial Assistant must, at all times, be aware of the Mission, Vision, and Values of the Upper Cumberland Development. The Financial Assistant will utilize the mission, vision, and values as parameters for professional development, business activities, and professional conduct.

Duties include:

  • Prepares allocations of expenditures to programs
  • Codes invoices for payment
  • Performs data entry for accounts payable
  • Processes accounts payable checks and prepare for mailing
  • Ensures appropriate approval for payment
  • Assists with filing and maintaining accounts payable files manually and electronically
  • Responds to inquiries from vendors and employees
  • Assists Payroll Specialist with time entry
  • Filing, copying, and scanning timesheets
  • Responds to inquiries from employees for payroll-related questions
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to lift 25 lbs

The successful applicant will possess a two-year degree from an accredited college or university (required). Education equivalent to post-secondary education in business-related field (Business management, accounting, etc.) Experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
